We’re crowdfunding for a better future

Two years ago, we set out to help people find the right nutrition for them.

We started with personalised protein and now we’re offering a huge range of vitamins too. Very soon, we’ll have even more categories to support your holistic health and wellness.

This is just the beginning…

Today — we’re inviting you to join us on our mission to help as many people as possible reach their health, fitness and wellbeing goals — by making personalised supplements accessible and affordable.

We’ve had a successful year and now we want to give you — our customers and community who have made this possible — the first chance to invest in Personalised Co (capital at risk) via crowdfunding.

Crowdfunding gives you the opportunity to own shares in our business and be part of our journey as we scale across the UK and expand abroad.

You can invest as little as £10 and as much as £100k+ (you’ll be joining several larger investors). And, you can expect to feel fully involved in all our campaigns, launches and activities as we spread our wings in 2020.

Our story so far

November 2018

We began working with our nutritionist and formulation partner to create the first Personalised Protein.

December 2018

We launched our website.

And then… It was chaotic. Our website crashed. And we constantly ran out of stock!

Turns out our marketing was pretty effective — we gained 1,000 customers pretty quickly with thousands more talking about us on social media.

July 2019

We raised £192k from private investors and our first crowdfunding campaign. We made some big promises at the time and have since delivered on every single one. Rebrand, new website and a new category (vitamins), plus reached £50k in monthly revenue.

January 2020

We relaunched the brand and website, adding a major new category: personalised vitamin pouches.

In doing this, our algorithm for making recommendations also received a major upgrade with additional input from our in-house nutritionist and new research papers.

July 2020

We enjoyed our biggest month yet, delivering personalised vitamins and protein to over 1,500 households.

October 2020

It’s go time! We’re launching our crowdfunding campaign to bring you onboard and add some additional rocket fuel to the Personalised Co story.

So why invest in Personalised Co?

We’re on a mission — to make your life better through personalised health and wellness.

There are a whole number of reasons why we believe you should invest in us, but, put simply, you’ll help us reach that mission faster and do it better.

For years, improving our health and wellness has been in the hands of big pharmaceutical brands and stores that overwhelm us with choice.

Here at Personalised Co, we’re working to change that by making personalised nutrition more accessible and affordable. With our in-house nutritionist, tech team and slick operational processes, we’re able to deliver you packs of vitamins and protein personalised to you.

With this crowdfunding campaign coming up, it’s going to get a whole lot better — for our customers and shareholders (those that invest).

If you invest — you’ll actually own part of our business.

Meaning, when we do well and the value of our business increases, the value of your shares increases too. Of course, it can go down. Your capital is always at risk when investing.

What will we do with the funds we raise?

Everything we promised in our last crowdfunding round — we’ve accomplished.

Below is our plan for how to spend the next round of investment.

I’ve actually copied and pasted it straight from my email to our previous investors. And congratulations to those who did invest back then, you made the right choice!

Now we’ve got a 10x better website, launched our vitamin range and have customers hammering at the door, we’ll be investing in three key areas:

  1. Level-up our operations for efficiency and scalability — with automated packing machines our daily order capacity will increase to over 3,600 and vastly mitigate any delivery delays. This is necessary for scaling.
  2. Develop our companion-app. To help our customers more, provide additional value throughout their daily lives and for us to get to know them better, we’ll be launching the Personalised App. Better management of their subscriptions and orders with the option to retake the quiz, apply for regular blood testing kits and set their goals — all to help them achieve the habits and lifestyle they want.
  3. Category Expansion. CBD, Collagen, Nootropics and the Blood Testing Kits. We’ve got access to all of these and will add them to our algorithm for recommending to customers that suit — all nutritionist-backed.
  4. Customer acquisition — we know precisely who our clients are, what motivates them, why they buy from us and why they reorder. It is time to grow and we are excited to double down on strategies that are already working.

People everywhere are eager for better nutrition and to be confident they’re making the right choice — we’re eager to give it to them.

So, what is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is the term generally used to describe a person or company raising funds from a large number of people (the crowd). Crowdfunding has been fuelled by the growth of the internet, allowing people who previously could only reach small networks and sums of money to now reach much wider audiences and in turn raise more money.

We’re equity crowdfunding — so when you invest, you will receive equity/shares in our business and become an owner too.

To manage our crowdfunding campaign, we’re using the Seedrs platform — it’s completely free for you to invest and you only pay them a fee on the profit you make when you sell your shares. Think ‘no-win, no-fee’, though your capital is at risk.

What are the benefits of equity crowdfunding?

Equity crowdfunding is when a company raises funds from a large number of investors (the crowd) in exchange for equity in that company. For the individual investor, this means that when they invest they become shareholders in the company. You can read lots more about crowdfunding and the different types of crowdfunding here.

People invest on Seedrs for many reasons. To support friends or family, because they love a particular business idea, or they just want to invest in a new asset class. But one thing that Seedrs investors have in common is that if the company they invest in is successful, they want to share in that success.

Find out more about becoming an investor and what is involved here.

How does the crowdfunding process works?

We will offer everyone in our community (customers, family, friends and social community) the opportunity to get themselves on our Priority List — by pre-registering their interest to invest.

Everyone who pre-registers will be given the first opportunity to invest and you will receive an exclusive email inviting you to invest within two weeks of pre-registering.

Seedrs will guide you through the whole process from pre-registering your interest to making an investment and beyond. They have a really helpful guide here about their authorisation process, how to browse campaigns, how to invest, how to make a payment and how to cancel an investment.

A note from our crowdfunding partners, Seedrs:

Investing involves risks, including loss of capital, illiquidity, lack of dividends and dilution, and should be done only as part of a diversified portfolio.
